A packet of typewritten materials written by Moyshe Broderson
Yesterday was a big days for getting great stuff. I went over to see Sheva Zucker and she gave me a batch of stuff Bret Werb sent her from the Holocaust Museum. It appears to be the transcript of an entire night's performance at the inter-war Ararat revi-teater in Lodz! Songs, monologues, duets... it's very hard to read because the print is sort of grey-on-grey, but well worth puzzling through. It includes the Yiddish version of the satirical song Madagaskar, written about the idea of sending Polish Jews to that faraway land.
