Moniek Przepiórko: one of three Polish-language songs in the Zhelonek collection
It occurs to me I can post this one for you from youtube although we did not record it. Here's Beth Holmgren singing this ridiculous song about a pathetic loser of a folk-singer who serenades her love from the front porch. She eventually gets tired of waiting for him to step up to the plate ("Words words words, I'm so sick of words" as Eliza would say) and proceeds to have several children with the upstairs neighbor while Moniek sings below...
Zhelonek went to the trouble of transcribing this Polish song, which was recorded by Bolesław Norski-Nożyca, into Yiddish characters so his audiences would be able to sing along.
