Bublitshki / Beygelekh
Another of the few Zhelonek songs which everybody knows. It was first an instrumental and it's still an extremely popular klezmer tune. In 1922 Yakov Jadow of Odessa wrote the Russian words, and a few years later a Yiddish version was created by (as Nikolai Borodulin just informed me) famous satirist "Der Tunkeler."
I'm selling the sheet music with chords, all the verses, transliterated, with translation:
Labels: klezmer, making a living (poverty), modernity, persecution, songs for sale
